Alicante - how to quickly and cheaply get from the airport to the city?
You can directly fly to sunny Alicante from several Polish airports, including Gdansk, Poznan, Krakow, or Wroclaw. The flight from Krakow takes approximately 3 hours. Today, we have prepared some tips for you on how to get from Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernandez Airport to the center of Alicante using various modes of transport.
Traveling by taxi from the airport to the center of Alicante
Of course, the simplest way is to take a taxi, which is a more expensive option. The taxi stand is located on level 0, at the exit of the arrivals hall. The cost of a trip to the city center is about 20-30 euros. The travel time from the airport to the center is about 20 minutes.
Bus to the center - the cheapest way to get to the center of Alicante
Another, cheaper option is to take the bus from the airport. This leaves from level -2. The C6 line stops at places like Alfonso X, El Sabio, and Plaza de los Luceros, from where you can transfer to a tram. A ticket costs 3.85 euros and you can buy it from the driver, paying only with a card.
Renting a car at Alicante Airport
And the final option is renting a car at the airport. This is a good choice if you are planning on staying for at least a few days. Companies you can rent a car from include Avis, Europcar, Goldcar-InterRent, HertzFirefly, and Sixt. It is best to reserve the car before arrival. The car rentals are located on floor 0.
In Spain, a child seat is also mandatory, but those in rentals are additionally charged and often of low quality. It's best to take your own on the plane, especially since airlines (like Ryanair) usually allow this for free.
You can reach Alicante city center from the airport via roads A7 and N-332. We used all the options mentioned. We recommend all of them.
